A Classic moment occurred at bedtime.
The conversation went like this….
“Mummy” says Luke.
“Yes, Luke” I reply.
“Someone at school said their mummy told them that if you play with your willy, it’ll fall off…”
“Right…” I say (tries to stop laughter erupting)
“So if I do that, will it fall off and turn into girl bits? Is that what happens to girls, they all played with their willies so much they all fell off and that’s how girls are made?” he asks.
“Erm, well, no, not exactly Luke. Oh, listen, your brother is crying, I’ll be back in a bit to tuck you in…” I say hastily.
(runs out of room to laugh into my pillow and write down on here that exact conversation ready for his best man to use one day at his wedding…)

A highly intelligent specimen… (Ahem. I’d like to add, he doesn’t wear glasses, they’re nanny’s…)
Made me giggle! I have a feeling, your little boy won’t let you off that easily π He’ll probably bring it up again π My 5-year-old girl giggles every time she mentions the word “willy”, even her male best-friend also giggles every time he hears it too. π
That’s fantastic!! Nothing beats an honest conversation with your kids!! I think you did well to keep a straight face until you left the room!!

Love it! A pretty logical argument if you ask me π I look forward to these kind of conversations – I’ll need to perfect my straight face though, it’s a bit rubbish at the moment!
That is wonderful – how you didn’t laugh! Very logical though when you think about it though. I remember a friend of mine at primary school thinking girls grew up into boys as she had older brothers π
That’s brilliant! And also logical for her to think that. Bless!
I had to try my very best not to giggle my head off…they do make me laugh, I’ll miss it when the innocence of youth has left them.x
Ha ha ha ha I love the crazy stuff they come out with, it’s so funny. I’ll be so sad when my children don’t come out with things like this anymore.
Love it. My son announced to a room full of people that he is really lucky to be a big brother and he loves his little brother so much. This cuteness was quickly followed with “I’m really glad Daddy gave Mummy one of those special cuddles”. #awkward Thanks for linking up to #FridayFrolics
Ahh no problem. I love reading all the funny posts π
This is so funny, isn’t it brilliant how their minds work. Sometimes it is so hard to keep a straight face! x
It really is. Quite often they say something and I want to fall on the floor in hysterics but they’d end up getting a complex about it so I try my best to hold it in…
Have a super Friday and thanks for reading.xx
Amazing. Posts like this make me so excited for when my little one finally learns to speak. #FridayFrolics
Haha brilliant, kids do say the funniest things don’t they? I don’t know how you kept a straight face for long enough!
My boy asked the exact same thing! I almost cried trying not to laugh. #fridayfrolics
So funny! The things kids come out with, if only they knew we were making notes of it all for future embarrassment!!
Oh gosh. This is so funny. I love how children see the world. Everything is so simple isn’t it
Oh to be that age again… X
It’s a shame that other mother told her boy if he played with himself his bits would fall off – I don’t have one myself, but I would have thought that playing with it was one of the best parts of willy-ownership!? Sorry for being a bit serious about what is essentially a funny post π

I’m 100% sure one of the best things about having a willy is playing with it after having 3 boys…you’re right!
No need to apologise, all comments and viewpoints welcome!!! Xx
It was funny though π I could almost hear his cogs turning…
Haha – love it! I would have been tempted to say yes it is how girls are made & see how long he believed it! I’m evil! #ftmob
Lol, that is so funny – I love his logic on that one! I don’t have boys so have never been guilty of using that particular expression although I have heard my sisters say it to my nephews a few times! Thank you for linking up to #ftmob π
That is so so funny. Good on you for holding the laughter in until you were out of the room. I don’t think I’d have lasted! π #ftmob
Oh that’s just brilliant. How on earth you managed to make it out the room without laughing I dont know.

Out of the mouths of babes, as they say. Lucky him though – my brothers somehow got it into their heads that Struwwelpeter (a scary character from an old German children’s book of cautionary tales with scissors for hands) would come and chop their’s off if they played with it too much! #Stayclassy
Hahaha!! Oh dear lord! That’s horrendous and enough to make anyone stop playing with their bits!
Thanks for reading and writing! Gem.x
Hahah SO FUNNY! What did you tell him?! I might have cracked under pressure and said yes, if you play with your willy it will fall off lol. Thanks for linking with #StayClassy!
I just said it wouldn’t fall off but it might make it sore and he’s best off leaving it alone…
I didn’t know what else to say! xx
Thanks so much for reading and sharing!x
Haha brilliant! Did he forget all about it or did you have to come up with something? #stayclassy
I just said it wouldn’t fall off but it might get a bit sore and people don’t want to see you with your hand in your pants
