My mummy’s a blogger…

Parents evening was last night.

I always feel a mixture of anticipation and dread all at the same time….the finger of blame if they aren’t performing always feels like it’s being pointed at you, the parent, for not doing enough at home and then the guilt sets in and you feel like the worst mum ever.

(We do actually do lots at home, and there’s a fine line between doing extra and doing too much. They’re only 6 and 8…)

However, I was pleasantly surprised by most of what we were told for both boys but nothing could prepare me for my eldest sons teacher finishing the meeting with…

“So, I’m reliably informed by your son that you write a blog! We are blogging ourselves in class and he’s been really excited to tell me all about yours! He said you take photos of his little brother and of Dolly’s…”

(Cue me getting very red in the face and stifling a massive laugh that wants to escape…)

“Oh yes, yes I do…its not child appropriate but I’ll send it on to you!”

What was I thinking?!

I’ll send it on to you…

The Dolly photos he was referring to are these from my Christmas Deer with a Beer series I did. (Link in the text)

Lord help me!!!!

Ha! Ha! Hilarious! As a teacher I can assure you they would see the funny side of this. I love it when kids drop their parents in it… until it is me on the receiving end…

That’s so funny. Teachers know everyone’s secrets. When the big one started school we had a little meet and greet with the teachers. He was sat doing an alphabet puzzle. I was glowing with pride as he got all the letters right and completed the jigsaw. His teacher asked him if he liked the classroom. His response was “Yes, but right now I’m trying really hard not to parp”. She found it hilarious. Thanks for linking up to #FridayFrolics

This is particularly brilliant in combination with Catie’s host post about what to talk about with teachers at parents’ evening! Somehow, and I don’t know how, she has actually missed out not showing the teacher the one night stand drunken floozy doll from her advice! I still think the teacher will have appreciated the grown up time though! #familyfun

Oh that’s hilarious! I can just imagine me saying something like that to my children’s teachers…yes of course, no problem…. Teachers have a way of making you say things you don’t necessarily want to say!! I do love your photos, they’re so funny and yes, you’re right, no very children friendly heehee!

Oh that is so brilliant! Love how he’s managed to pick the most inappropriate thing from your blog and highlight it to his teacher. So funny. I’ve just had a look through some of your Deer with a Beer posts and they are so funny – much better than Elf in a Shelf! Love the lap dancing dollies. Thanks for sharing this with #ftmob 🙂
