So this has just happened over on my Instagram page…
(*Squeals with excitement and pours a Gin and Tonic*)
I entered a competition called #MaverickMum over on Instagram which was being run by Not on the High Street.
The idea was to post a picture which explains a time you went a little bit ‘Maverick Mum’ (aka, over the top) for the chance to win £500 of Not on the High Street vouchers (lord knows I could do some damage with those…)
I entered and used this photo of the boys dressed in Lego Themed Halloween costumes which I made for them as they had the potential to win a prize at a Brickies Lego workshop they were attending.
Turns out my boys did win, but I 100% looked like the mum who ‘had tried a bit too hard’.
My eldest was wearing a headpiece so large he had to go sideways through the doors and my middle one couldn’t move his arms in his box properly to build his Lego creations…
A cringeworthy, I want to dissolve into the floor moment, for sure.
Anyhow, I got a message from Not on the Highstreet asking if I give permission to have my photo featured in their online gallery (immediately said yes, obvs) and am potentially down to the last few to battle it out for the end of the competition.
I’m not sure I’ll win but it’s exciting nonetheless.
Who said these kids aren’t useful…. 😉
